Children’s Hospital of Orange County Ride

This morning our chapter split up. Some decided to go on the actual ride, while others went straight to the park to lend a hand with the charity. The ones that went on the ride to the hospital, left within a few minutes of arriving so as to get back to the park before the event opened. The ride this year was much better than the last one. It was far more controlled and although it took the toll roads, it was through a beautiful part of Orange county. The weather was this June gloom we are starting to hate along with an occasional sprinkle. Once it almost broke out into an actual shower. It was so hot last year that it was hard just to hang out, so this year was much easier to cope with. Still the riders all seemed to have a great time and didn’t notice the lack of sun. We managed to pull off the poker walk despite the fact that we didn’t realize we were supposed to organize, run, obtain supplies, etc. We’ll know better for the next event. If there is one thing we are good at, it is finding all the things e did wrong. Still we had a good time and enjoyed a great day with good friends, good food, and good music.
